As a manufacturing facility, MBM are only too aware of the impact their business can have on the environment. Over the past 5 years, they have been taking steps to ensure progress is being made to limit this.
The most exciting and innovative step taken so far has been the installation of a waste extraction system which removes all the paper waste material from stitching and binding lines.
Using suction tubes, it extracts the waste paper directly into compactors in the recycling centre next door.
This system, which has removed thousands of vehicle movements from the roads, was one of the first of its kind in the world when it was installed and is something MBM are very proud of to this day.
