Boundary Alarms

The client

Voted one of the ‘Top Ten Start-up Companies to Watch’, Boundary Alarms was the first UK smart security alarm businesses to offer professional monitoring with a police response. Their sophisticated alarm system uses motion and contact sensors coupled with wireless ‘smart’ technology, enabling homeowners to receive remote notifications via a mobile app.

The challenge

For this complex project, Boundary needed a partner with the expertise to take their unique product to market. That meant designing packaging, printing ancillary items which go in the box, then kitting the products and sending them to end customers. Because of the product’s nature, Boundary also needed us to record which units had been sent to which customers.

Our Solution

The orders we handle from Boundary’s customers vary according to their homes, typically the number of rooms. We designed packaging which allows for this variable, neatly accommodating different configurations of window and door sensors along with outdoor sirens.

Customers order products electronically from us every day, and the specific components are picked, scanned into the box and have their data recorded and automatically emailed to Boundary. Crucially, all the various sensors Boundary supply us with feature a unique UDI barcode printed on each component, which MBM record and scan into the box, before shipping with UPS.

We designed packaging that neatly accommodates for different configurations of window and door sensors along with outdoor sirens.
