Microbiologists at Hydrosense developed the world’s fastest on-site rapid Legionella test, able to detect every one of pneumophila serogroups 1 – 15. There’s no doubt this pioneering business leads the field in its important area of expertise.
Ground-breaking though it is, the packaging and kitting elements of Hydrosense’s flagship product were being provided by different supplier businesses – a disjointed and inefficient situation with too much scope for error and delay. Cartons, labels and IFUs came from three separate suppliers, while kitting was performed by a fourth.
Now, Hydrosense provide us with an Advance Shipment Notice whenever they order parts, which then come direct to MBM from their suppliers. Our system automatically generates a zero value PO to allow us to book in the stock when it arrives. An ‘expected receipt date’ report is generated by Goods In, and an automatic email sent to Hydrosense when the goods have arrived. An automatic email is also sent to Hydrosense as soon as the parts printed by MBM are booked to stock and are subsequently automatically invoiced. Our kitting orders from Hydrosense are received daily via a pre-agreed format Excel spreadsheet and again uploaded – you guessed it – automatically.
The all-new ‘one stop’ process is expertly automated, giving superb real-time visibility of all key data, including stock receipts, despatch reports/tracking information to consolidated invoicing of all kits built during the month.
Orders are now processed and despatched within 24 hours, with a large percentage despatched same day. At the ‘click of a button’ on the last day of the month, the monthly kitting invoice is run and emailed to Hydrosense, all in less than 5 minutes.
Three months in and Hydrosense are delighted with our solution.
